Garmin 405CX

I'm having a couple issues with this particular piece of equipment:

1. My HR strap that I got with my 305 won't sync up to it.  Is there something I need to do to sync them or will it just not work with a watch other than the one it came with?

2. I finally downloaded all the software to upload data to my laptop.  I did an initial dump of data but I can't get it to upload anything since that first time.  Since then I also added my 305 to my profile.

Any thoughts?

Call Garmin - they have the best customer service that I have ever encountered.

That HR monitor should work with the watch. Have you checked the battery (CR2032)?

 It works fine with my 305 but not the 405, so I know the battery is good.

Have you paired your 405 with your heart rate monitor?

According to the video, the 305 monitor strap is compatible with the 405.

Finally got around to doing this.  Worked like a charm.  Thanks!
