An Arrest in Boston

I've often thought of writing some fiction. Maybe I'll just join the media.

What I see are a bunch of pictures of people with backpacks. Six or seven, depending on how you count. Am I saying these are accurate? No. Just that they're interesting, and examples of the kinds of things they're looking at that give me confidence that they will find the people responsible.

I agree. I'm guessing that what we will find out at 5pm is that they are releasing some photos and asking people to identify the persons of interest. Somebody knows these people.

Twitter. One of the local sports talk stations devoted the show this morning to conspiracy theories and this got re-tweeted.

All day Monday (starting almost immediately after the bombing), NY Post was reporting 12 dead. Everybody else was reporting 2 or 3, NYPost stuck with 12.

Seriously news outlets, you have 1 job. Don't report it unless you know for certain to be true.

I really think there needs to be repercussions for incorrect news. Wrong about an arrest being made? Fine, you can't cover this story for 24 hours.

A penalty box? Interesting.

What I'd be tempted to do is "out" these anonymous sources who screwed them over and made them all look like idiots. But that probably won't happen.

Another possibility, of course, is that they DO have somebody in custody but are looking for possible accomplices and didn't want word of the arrest leaking out.... Only time will tell who was right or wrong.

if it was a preexisting order i would assume yes. What a disaster if they let the kid out of the country before the investigation is completed. Lots of interesting subtext to this info if true.

Probably a number of people had them, but I noticed in the video released this afternoon, there is a woman walking between the two suspects carrying 3 yellow balloons. Similar to the ones Vivian describes and can be seen in the video taken from the finish line.

Eerie.

More stories coming out on the suspects. From the uncle to the father to past classmates...

I feel that it is only a matter of time before the kid is caught. I just hope no one else is harmed in doing so.

What a week Michele! Thankfully, it appears they have the second suspect pretty much holed up in Watertown. Matter of time, probably dealing with a hostage situation.

Incredibly, they carjacked and kidnapped a guy last night and let him go unharmed.
