Re: Your Week in Training Jan 21 - 27
My base-building phase is progressing nicely, though it'd be easy to ramp it up too fast...
Mon: 3.9 mile walk (40 degrees)
Tue: 14.3 miles long (had to switch with Monday due to weird schedule change at work) (26-35 degrees)
Wed: 3.1 miles barefoot (33 degrees - not as chilly as you might think on bare feet!)
Thu: 60 minutes low HR - 5.1 miles at low HR (36 degrees)
Fri: 90 minutes low HR - 7.7 miles (42 degrees - balmy!)
Sat: Inadequate rest day (My Friday evening shift at work extended to 3:30 a.m. thanks to a shooting)
Sun: Extra rest day (Needed it.)
Week: 34.1 miles (2 miles more than previous week)

Nice work, Michael. You going to the ATL for the half in March again? I'm going down as I need a hilly race since it is so dang flat around here. By the way, you are also making me feel like a slug regarding Boston training.

Be careful, Tim with the ankle. In other words, don't do what I do - run on it until it gives out (like my achilles).
