I bought a brand new 5 piece patio set (4 chairs and a table) for $40 on a sealed-bid auction.

Heading down to the federal building to get our passports for our trip to La Paz in 2 weeks. Hopefully this will motivate us to do more international travel in the future.

I knocked out a lunchtime run on the mill watching dumb TV. Vegas. One of my high school buddies was the executive producer of that show? Cracks me up every time I see his name in the credits. Now he produces Falling Skies (hear it is good) and Smash (never seen it).

Haven't seen Falling Skies. My daughter is into Smash, so I've seen that a fair amount and think that's pretty good.

Falling Skies is pretty good if you like post-apocolyptic sci-fi.
I'm back to work after a too-short vacation. But it's okay. I'm taking two more blocks of vacation time this summer, so I should be sane by the time fall gets here. Maybe.

Yesterday was a lucky day. I washed my car for the first time since the drought and the last time since the mandatory ban on washing cars was at noon yesterday. Today...it's raining! My mom was right...if you want it to rain, wash windows.

Since I was in Bend, Oregon--birthplace of Ashton Eaton--for a conference, I ran along the Deschutes River Trail. I saw the most beautiful 4-pt buck in velvet, lying in a shady spot, waiting out the heat of the day. We locked eyes for about a minute ... I am still getting goosebumps thinking about it.

Well hung out with college buddy from Chico after work until 4am in the morning. Then got up early drove Lisa to work at 8am and then picked her back up to go the doctors for the final ultrasound.
Baby is head down PERFECT and the baby is weighting in at 6lbs. 12oz. and we are right on with our target delivery date!! Doctor who is also a runner (she's running Chicago again this year) thinks that our baby will be somewhere around 7.5lbs. to 8lbs.

Went hiking in a state park yesterday and climbed up the 4 story observation tower even though I am terrified of heights.
