If you're running Boston and want to be tracked

Would you leave your name and bib # so we can try to organize a tracking thread for you on race day?

Mike MacLellan - 5156

EDIT: Shooting for 3:15 (ideal), 3:20 (less than ideal), 3:30 (worst case), just so whoever tracks can make the appropriate commentary throughout Wink

Thanks, well if anyone isn't on that thread or this thread, please don't have hurt feelings if we don't track you. I will do my best to help out with it since I will be home and I know a lot of you work away and can't necessarily access the site at work.

Yeah, thanks for this. And I like what Mike's doing. I have no time goals, and I guess some of it depends on the weather, the girls in Wellesley, and the hills.

So if you're not seeing even splits, well, hopefully it's just because I'm stopping to enjoy some fun.

Wellesley Women, Bob - not girls. They'll smack you for that.

I'm 45, Michele...they're girls. And maybe I just might want to be slapped by the girls of Wellesley.

I think Mike gave A, B and C goals. Whatever you want to do! We'll be cheering you all on.

My goal is 5 minutes slower than whatever time I finish in. Guaranteed over-achievement!

Exactly. Had dreams of a PR back in January, but didn't put in the work until the end, aka too late. Would like to stay under 3:00 hrs, but who knows.

bib no. 12607

With the weather forecast, I will be running for survival. My goal is most likely going to depend on how race day progresses. Good thing we have already had some 80s last month to run in here.

I did two long runs in 70f weather, but 87f and sunny on roads without shade is something else all together. I've already got a back up plan to bail at 12.5 miles and head to my parents house or run/walk with a friend who is having a rough time these last few months with lots of personal stuff and just talk and have fun.

Well, I have no choice but to "go for it," being my last one.

Suddenly, the heat in Chicago 2010 actually has meaning. I know what strategy DOESN'T work.

I've said all along that I can walk away from the sport happy with a sub-3:11. What seemed like a 90% certainty is now very much in doubt, but I have a race plan that hopefully will carry me there.

I hope a few others of you (not running) can help me track. We've had a family emergency occur and tomorrow's going to be crazy at my house.
