CIM hotel recommendation
I'm still struggling with my internet connection so can't check in often...but I'm still running.
I signed up for CIM yesterday. I think I want to stay in town close to the finish area as I may be on my own that weekend. Any suggestions/advice for hotels?
Thanks in advance!
Nancy

Re: CIM hotel recommendation
My buddy recently stayed in downtown at the Holiday Inn. Pretty nice for the price (~$125/night?) and close enough to everything that it should work.
See you there!

Re: CIM hotel recommendation
My wife ran a couple years back and she stayed at the sponsor hotel (Hilton?). Note that she was not able to get a late checkout.
She signed up again so maybe we'll see you there.

I actually think I will be running this one too, so keep the suggestions coming.
Re: CIM hotel recommendation
I stayed about 10 minutes away (via car) when I ran it in 2010. It was pretty easy to find parking near the bus pickup so I would look for a deal if you can't find anything near the Capitol.
I stayed at a Courtyard a few exits away (in a business park) I believe and was able to get a late checkout.
Enjoy this race. Probably my favorite course for running fast of all the courses I have run.

Hopefully, Reina will impart her knowledge, since she's a local. And would be the first to say that it's not a flat course.

Re: CIM hotel recommendation
For some reason, I want to say I stayed at the Holiday Inn too. A couple things to consider - without a car, most hotels are downtown and on a Saturday (day before marathon), there were few things open. Also, it was good to stay at a hotel where the bus pickup was right at the entrance so you don't have to walk in the dark.
