Re: NYC Tracking
Thanks so much for the tracking. It was the first thing I looked up when I got to a wireless connection. I thought about you all when I passed each mile mat. I had a great race and will report on it later this week as I am traveling until Wednesday.

Re: NYC Tracking
Neat thread. Thanks guys! Did they actually show mile splits (in addition to every 5K)? Wish my pacing was a consistent as Vivian's. Even though I knew very well what was coming, I just could not keep my pace at or above 7:40 until the 2nd half. Gotta work on patience. It was a perfect clear cool day. Temp at the start was just below 50, did not rise much above 55 all day (dewpoint remained below 40), light breeze. Perfect. And Don S (shooting for 2:44:49) was on pace through 30K. Good day to go for it. But it's is very difficult to hold an aggressive pace over the last 10K on this course.

Thanks for following us! Sorry you had to track a meltdown for me...but alas, it's still good to be loved! Race report in the days to come...

YES SIR. NY had the best in-race tracking I've seen...starts at 5K for you...

Re: NYC Tracking
Just so it's clear - those pace/mile aren't the splits. They are the average pace/mile of what you have run to that point. So, for example, if you look at mine...it makes it look much more even and doesn't show my meltdown (and 11+ minute mile when I stopped in the bathroom, etc.)...it just shows how the average went slightly up...

Thanks for tracking. Let this be a cautionary tale for all of you who would gain 20 lbs and choose, or as in my case need to, cut back on training.

Ah, good point. Using the time of day, you can determine the actual split as measured for each mile but that calc is not shown.

Re: NYC Tracking
Tracking didn't appear to work for me, and I, too, wish I had been as smart as Vivian. (But I cannot curse myself for going for it).
